All Crosswinds students participate in the eight subject areas required by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) for the MYP. In addition, our students also have the opportunity to participate in health classes as well as many "core plus" classes that we offer to enhance our student learning in core subject areas. The IBO required subjects are:

1. Language A: Traditionally referred to as language arts. This class is taken all five years of our program.
2. Humanities: Traditionally referred to as social studies. This class is taken all five years of our program.
3. Technology: This class is taken as an elective in years 1-3 (grade 6-8). This requirement is embedded into other subject areas in years 4-5 (grades 9-10).
4. Mathematics: This class is taken all five years of our program.
5. Arts: These classes are taken all five years of our program, including both visual and performance arts.
6. Sciences: This class is taken all five years of our program.
7. Physical Education: This class is taken is years 1-4 (grades 6-9) of our program.
8. Language B: Traditionally referred to as foreign language. Our students take Spanish all five years of our program.
