Welcome to Crosswind's After-School Program. Crosswind's After-School Programs run Monday through Thursday all four quarters from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. We begin the second week of the quarter, and end one week prior to the last week. Crosswind's After-School Programs provide opportunities to learn, explore, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Our programs enhance our magnet focus, support classroom learning, give opportunities to advanced learners, and encourage students to be physically active and spending time outdoors.

Cost: There is a per-class registration fee. Specific information for each activity will be included in the registration information. You may pay by cash or check. Checks should be written out to Crosswinds Art and Science School. There is no online registration or credit card payment available. A registration and payment must be made in order for the student to stay after school.

Scholarships: Scholarships are available for students who are registered in the free and reduced lunch program. Students in the free program have a waived fee and students in the reduced program pay half the requested amount. Forms are available in the front office.

Registration Deadline: If space is available, students can register past the deadline. However, students must wait one week from the day submitted before attending the activity.

Transportation: Busing is available after school. Two after-school buses are available to students who live in St. Paul. Bus #1 drops students off at the following stops in St. Paul: Riverview Library, Rondo Education Center, Rice & Lawson Recreation Center, and Phalen Recreation Center. Bus #2 drops students Crosswind's students off at Central Park YMCA (Woodbury), Battle Creek Recreation Center (St. Paul), Hazel Park Recreation Center (St. Paul), and Maplewood Community Center. Students may stay in the sheltered areas of the recreation center until the parent arrives.

Cancellations: To find out if there has been a last-minute class cancellation, please call the front office 651-279-2600 or Teng Xiong at 651-379-2606. Students may call during homeroom/ lunch from the front office (or teacher's room) to inform you of class cancellations.

Behavior Expectations: During after-school program and on the bus home from after-school program, we follow the regular school day policy and school wide contract. Cell phones can be used after 5:30 PM or with permission from the school's front office.
