Student Council

Crosswinds East Metro Student Leadership council is made up of six house representatives, two webmasters, one officer at large, one secretary, one treasurer, one vice president, and a president. It is advised by Art Teacher Alison Ringold and Gifted and Talented Coordinator Molly Timmerman. The students are elected each fall through a blind ballot. The student body knows the candidates' initiatives and ideas and votes on those rather than who the candidate is.

Student Leadership Council meets every Wednesday from 11:05 AM to 11:40 AM in the downstairs art room. They work together to manage the school store as well as plan and implement activities for the student body including but not limited to: school spirit week, school dances, and schoolwide community service learning projects. They also help out with other school events including Culture Fest and the annual Fall Festival and Benefit. Last year, the Student Leadership Council sponsored a schoolwide community service learning project, “Book Drive for Nigeria.” Along with their fellow students they collected more than 2,000 books and raised more than $400 for shipping.
