Course Selection & Electives
Prior to the beginning of the year, students and their parent/guardian will be given a Registration & Planning Guide which will provide you with valuable information regarding descriptions of all high school course offerings, state graduation requirements, assessments, the International Baccalaureate Program, future planning materials, etc.
Students entering grades 9 and 10 will be automatically scheduled for a series of core/required classes, which include English, Science, Math, Social Studies, Spanish, and Healthy Lifestyles.
After reviewing the Registration & Planning Guide, students will select their choices of elective courses in the areas of Art, Drama, and Music, and will be scheduled as a first come, first served basis. Deadlines for registration materials will be posted.
During the first week of each semester, students will have the opportunity to select an additional elective course offering taught within their core team of teachers during "e-core time". Course offerings change from year to year, so students are informed of their choices after the initial registration is complete.
