The following links will take you to different Gale Group information databases. Read the description below each link to help you decide which tool will help you get the information you need. The Crosswinds access to these databases is funded by the Minnesota Legislature through the Electronic Library for Minnesota program.InfoTrac Junior Designed for students in middle and high school, with magazine, newspaper, and reference book articles (most are full text). Use this for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports, and more.
Discovering Collection Use this comprehensive database to retrieve in-depth reference content for the core curriculum areas of Literature, History, Biographies, Science, and Social Studies.
Junior Reference Collection This is a comprehensive reference source, with nearly 12,000 documents, over 8,500 photos and illustrations, and 3 complete dictionaries (Collegiate, Biographical, and Geographical). It features current, relevant, organized, and easy-to-read information covering science, biographies, authors, multicultural topics, and people and places.
InfoBits Features an easy to use graphical interface and information organized by subject areas. Finds articles that are written at the 6th Grade level and below.
All Gale Group Databases This link takes you to all Gale Group databases, including the Health Reference Center, InfoTrac OneFile, and the Expanded Academic ASAP database. Some of these databases will return information written at the college level and above. Using these databases outside the Crosswinds Media Center requires a user ID and password.
