Site Council
Current Members
The Site Council is made up of parents, teachers and school staff who share and support the mission and goals of the school. Site Council bylaws specify that the Council be composed of up to 16 voting members who represent and reflect the diversity of the Harambee community. Eight seats are held by parents/community members, and eight seats are held by teachers and staff. Membership should reflect the diversity of the school community.
Council members are elected to a two-year or a three-year term. An equal number of parent/community members and teachers/staff will have two-year and three-year terms. Terms are staggered so that less than half the Council is up for election in any single year. The principal is a regular participant at Site Council meetings but is not a voting member.
